You have worked hard and you made it! You were accepted as a graduate student at The Illinois College of Optometry. Congratulations!
Now, your next challenge...complete optometry school and begin your career as a Doctor of Optometry!
How will you practice? What will be your practice emphasis? Will you be in a primary care setting or a specialty area? Will you see children in your practice?
If you plan on providing primary care, then families will be a part of that care. Yes you will see children!
And since most of the children you will encounter will have two eyes, there is a likelyhood that some of these kids will have binocular vision problems. What is the likelyhood that a child will have a binocular vision problem?
- Less than 1%
- 2-4%
- 5-15%
- 20-25%
